Internet FAQs/T&Cs (the boring but important bits!)
We currently only deliver within Australia. We offer free delivery for orders valued at over $150. Orders below this value will be charged at a flat fee of $10. You may also choose to collect orders from our store - please select this option when you are at the checkout. Orders can be collected during normal opening hours (see ‘Where We Are’ for current times)
We aim to despatch orders within 5 working days or will email you to let you know if there will be a longer wait. Should you prefer not to wait we will offer a full refund. Items marked 'order in store' may be available for delivery but may not be in stock. Please either call us for details or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Returns and exchanges
We offer a refund through paypal for smaller items purchased through our on-line store provided they are not a sale item, are returned unused in their original condition and, where applicable, in their original packaging. The exception to this is rugs which we order from our supplier to come direct to you so we are unable to offer exchange or refund for change of mind. Please therefore be sure you are happy with your rug size and colour choice before ordering. Returned items must be mailed back within 14 days of receipt to 152 Argyle Street, Fitzroy 3065. Cost of returning the goods to us will need to be paid by the purchaser and we suggest you use registered mail to ensure the goods reach us safely. In store purchases are subject to different conditions - see in store for details. We offer exchanges on full priced goods, as above these must be returned unused in their original condition to our Fitzroy address and the cost of return plus any balance due for replacement goods will need to be paid by the customer before replacement goods can be dispatched. Please note, on-line purchases cannot be returned or refunded through our store. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Selecting hand made goods
At southwood our focus is on natural materials and hand made, individual items. These products will, by their nature, vary and we feel this is part of the beauty of these items.
In the case of some of our ranges the designs can vary from item to item and we have highlighted these in the web-store. An example of this would be Bonnie & Neil printed ply cubes. If you would like to see the current selection of available designs before we despatch your order please contact email@example.com and we will send photos for you to select from.

Our furniture can only be ordered through our Fitzroy store. Please call us in store for details of leadtimes and availability. Our beds, mattresses and tables are all delivered through an external delivery service. We will quote delivery cost at the time of ordering. Furniture items are only available for delivery within Metropolitan Melbourne but we are happy to supply orders for Interstate orders if you are able to organise your own shipment from our store to your home.
We aim to keep our site secure and therefore use Paypal to process all payments made to us - PLEASE NOTE it is possible to make a payment with your credit card without having a Paypal account - please follow the prompts when ordering and you will be able to enter your credit card details. We do not store any credit card data on our site.
